Allen stared at Kiana confused.  He stepped an inch closer to Kiana.
“But I do exist.” He replied.
“I know that now.” Kiana said looking at the sky.
Kiana looked tired and worn down. Her cuts finally had stopped bleeding. She glanced at Allen watching his movements. Allen sat down on the hard ground resting for the first time in hours.
“ Why did you want to know if the rumors are true?” Allen blurted out suddenly.
“ Um…well, I am a shape shifter myself and I guess I was just sick of being the only one, you know?” Kiana said innocently.
“Yeah , I do.” He replied. Allen got up from where he sat and walked over to Kiana. Kiana stared up at him. He smiled as he held out his hand.
“ What are you doing?” she asked . Allen kept his hand out waiting for her to take it. Kiana watched his expression as she took his hand. He pulled her up into his arms. Allen held her close to his body squeezing her into a hug. Kiana was stunned but she could not help but hug back.
Allen closed his eyes when he felt a sharp pain in his back. He slowly turned to see a girl pointing a sword in his lower back.
“Move and I will kill you.” the stranger said. Allen turned to look at her. She had auburn hair that rippled down the small of her back.  Her silver eyes shined brightly with hatred and frustration. Kiana looked up at the mysterious woman.
“Ferne? Ferne Autole.” Kiana said as her eyes widened.
“…Kiana…” Ferne replied slowly. Allen stared at Ferne with a weird look. He let go of Kiana as he turned to face the stranger. Ferne gazed at Allen as she let a smirk play onto her red lips.
“Allen Burkwood.” She said circling him. Allen stayed still waiting for her to make a move.
“Who are you?” He questioned.
“Kiana just said my name.” she mocked.
“I know your name, who the hell are you?!” Allen yelled angrily.
“Calm down…I am Half shape shifter. I have been traveling the world looking for others and now I found some. So… can I travel with you?” Ferne said. Allen looked at her then to Kiana.
“Excuse us…” Kiana whispered to Ferne as she pulled Allen towards the dark forest.
“Allen. Ferne is mean.”
“What do you mean?” Allen replied unsure.
“Well if she travels with us she could turn easily.
“Turn?”
“She hates me…and a long time ago she turned on our town. She let out a secret that should have never been told.” Kiana explained patiently.
“We’ll just have to watch her then.” Allen responded coming into view.
Ferne sat on an old tree stump. She glanced up to see Allen and Kiana walking back.
“You can join us.” Allen said. A smile appeared on Ferne’s soft face.
“Wonderful.” Ferne said with a small purr.
